Hi, I'm new on the forum and it seem than it's possible to get the data by request here ???

Ok, I would like to have the Data for my 300 SAUM 22" barrel (Model Seven LSS), with Nosler AccuBond 200gr... WLRM Primer and COL of 2.825".

I want to try the new RL17 but there is absolutely no data for me... Could be interresting to know with RL19 and AA3100 too.

Thanks a lot.

If you know how to get water capacity of the fired and unprimed case it would probably get you much better results. the quickload water capacity of the 300 saum is 73.5 grains which is less than the listed capacity of the 7mm saum. i think this gives unusually high pressures for the calculated loads. Also oal that you'de like to load to if different than saami length would be helpful. I don't have version 3.4 yet so i can't help on rl-17. Since i just had rotator cuff surgery done i'll probably have many useless hours to kill so i'll be getting version 3.4. i don't want to give results since the 180 loads i ran for whomever asked for them were so far off of published max's that it seemed silly to even post them. I realize they are only estimates in the program but if they are that far off some thing in that caliber is probably off but i couldn't figure out what it was other than case capacity when looking at the design info. since its not a caliber i have i can't check the other dimensions. if you still want some info than let me know.

Great info... Thanks you very much yeayow and POP...

I tried to mesure the case capacity, but, I'm not sure how to take a good mesure... I tried it without primer, with a fired brass from my rifle, and I only get 72.5gr ??? You said 73.5 is already not much !!! ???

Btw, the data are very off... If I look at the Nosler Reloading guide #6, Max load for the 200gr AccuBond is 60.5 grain of IMR 4350... I found the best load for my rifle with this powder is 60gr... I have good result with Cartrige overall length of 2.825, but best result with 2.845, wich is the maximum for my magasine. And with 60gr, at 2.845, my velocity is 2815 FPS with a 22" barrel, wich is faster than the data in the book, and they tested it with a 24" barrel... ??? I don't understand... Max load in Quickload data posted here indicate only 56.8gr, wich is the minimum charge (56.5) in the book... :?: Anyway, the load is good for my rifle and I have absolutely no high pressure sign, even when I tried the max load in the book...

But this is embarrasing for the RL17 data... Where should I start ? I think 1 grain over the load in this data, about 57gr... ??? What do you think ?

I was hoping than these data will answer some question, but now I have more question... lol !

And sorry for my bad english guys, I speak french... Thanks again for your great help...

I found something that could help... The SAAMI VERIFIED from AmmoGuide indicate 74gr of water case capacity...

300SaUltraMag, please remember that any reloading manual or software is just a guide an sometimes will differ greatly. That's why it's always stated to start low and work up. I either use Nosler's info from #6 and/or info from Hodgdon's reloading center (carefully if not with a Nosler bullet). Here's a link to Hodgdon's reloading center:
http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp

As for the velocity differences, I always start with a powder that gives the best velocity and then work it from their. Finally, I will not give up accuracy to gain more velocity.
