Range day - .223 Rem

Finally got a chance to take my .223 out to the range. Initial loads are showing some promise. Rifle is a Weatherby Vanguard S1 with a aftermarket B&C Medalist stock and a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44.

The following are Nosler 55gr BT and CT over 28grs of CFE 223
Going to try H335 next. Also, just installed a Timney trigger. The stock one was like bending a nail... :lol:

Very nice groups. That has to be gratifying. Your upgrades appear to be paying off.
 
Good report. I've recently been loading with Varmint powder with my Thompson Contenders and the 55gr BT. Not apples to apples when applied here but just mention it as it meters very well so speeds up the loading process somewhat.
