The kind folks at Nosler replaced two defective boxes of 200 AB with a box of 180 AB. I shoot a Sig SHR 970, 22" bbl., Rem brass & Rem LR primers. Best performance is 57.7 grains of RE-19. Groups of .70" at 100 yards, 2.4" at 300 yards. Similar performance with Hornady 180 grain Interbond, but that charge is 57.6 grains and the groups are just a wee bit tighter (.50" at 100) and the same at 300. My 165 Hornady SST's are by far the best I've loaded for this rifle: .25" inside and .40" outside at 100 yards, 1.5" at 300 yards.

I am going to try to get a decent rest and re-shoot this load (and my others). I am using a basic multiple sandbag arrangement that is probably not the best for consistency. I am confident all of these loads will perform better with a mroe stable and consistent rest. More as things develop and kudos to Nosler - it stands behind it's products!

Sounds like you have some good loads developed.
Let us know how they shoot from a more stable rest.

Will do! I'm disappointed I couldn't get the 200 AB's to do well. I couldn't quite tie it in and then found two boxes with deformed or missing tips. Nosler sent the 180 AB's and they did OK. I feel sure everything will tighten up with a real rest.

I do have a question concerning brass. My go to is Remington. Remington is good for only about 4 reloads before it starts to show signs of pressure. I don't have the equipment to anneal it. After about 6 reloads, the neck starts cracking all the way around - looks like barrel slats. I have a bunch of odd brass (Federal, Winchester, WW Super and some military). What effect on performance will a change in brass bring? What about primers? Remington Large Rifle 9 1/2 is available in bricks only - everything else is available in individual trays. Thanks!

Stay with the same mgf of brass, even better is the same lot.
Changing mfg brass will have an effect on pressures.

I always had better life with W-W brass in my 30-06's, shooting competition. Maybe try some Nosler Seconds brass.

SPOT ON!

My Dad used W-W, loaded hot and got great life on his brass. If I change to W-W, how much will that effect the loads I already have? I would imagine it wouldn't be more than 1/10th grain, plus or minus - right?
