Really nice LH Sako on Gunbroker

That is a good looking rifle :) and the bolt is on the right side

Blessings,
Dan

That's odd! What picture you looking at, Dan. Bolt's on the left side. Don't tell me you're pictorially dyslexic!

I have read somewhere that only lefties are in their right minds

Anyway, to build a gun like the one for sale here would most likely cost at least double what they are asking, I paid that much in 1996 for my Hunter model this one has a great stock and barrel by the sounds of it, looks like it has maybe been tefloned too. If this was in Canada and I had the cash I would be all over it :)

Now, Gerry, you can read almost anything on the Internet. Ya' really gotta' be cautious. Yeah, that looks like a sweet rifle, and made sweeter by our present exchange rate.

Thought you might like that one :) As for the gun that's a beauty.

Thanks gerry we have to stick together
We know that great minds think alike
Wait until I get up to Dawson Creek I will have a coffee with Doc and explain to him the things he is missing by not being left handed
Yes that Sako is a beautiful rifle.

Blessings,
Dan

I dunno', Dan. Explaining could take some time. You do, after all, speak Saskatchewanese, whereas I talk Canajun'.

Doc, I like the way you think too  always thinking of food I like Canajun anything when it comes to cooking

It might take time but I have patients or maybe it is being from Saskatchewan were we have always had to wait.

Blessings,
Dan

See! That's what I'm talking 'bout. The appropriate response is, "What'd ya' say?" Or the more colloquial 'Murican, "Huh?" (Canajun' "Eh?") Saskatchewanese is just hard to pick up. Reminds me of the ol' story of a feller from Saskatchewan who visited Australia. Dressed in his native gear (parka and mukluks), he went into a bar for a beer. A couple of Aussies were intrigued by the oddly dressed individual, so one sidled over to him and casually inquired, "So, where ya' from, Mate?" The feller responded, "Saskatoon, Saskatchewan," whereupon the Aussie walked back to his mate. "So, where's he from?" the guy asked. "Dunno'," replied the first, "he doesn't speak English."

Scotty be nice, remember we are fellow 35 Whelen owners I think
I was hoping I could get a photo of my supposed rifle even if I can't shoulder it for a while.
I am starting to wonder if I am in a dream and when I wake up I will find out I never even order the rifle

Blessings,
Dan

Hey Doc, I love Saskatchewan where else in Canada can you watch your dog run away from home for 3 days
But if I remember right you are from Texas so as the old saying goes never throw rocks when you live in a glass house  Just Kidding
One thing though could you explain to me what a Texas heart shot is?

Blessings,
Dan

The same as a Portuguese brain shot :) at least that's what they apparently call it in Africa.

Canada what a great place to live we are blessed beyond measure as we have freedom and can live how we want. We have some of the best hunting and fishing in the entire world :!: :!:
Some of us get to retire and then work where and when we want.
I know that there is only one other place I will ever go but hopefully that is not for a year or 2 yets

Plus we have a great forum here where we all enjoy a lot of the same things and can pick on lefties

Blessings,
Dan

Come on, Dan. Corner Gas was one of my favourite shows as long as it ran. I memorised the opening song. (Brent Butt did a great job.) There are some hills in Texas. I mean I used to hunt the Big Bend, and that was some rugged terrain.

The "Texas Heart Shot" takes real skill. It drives the bullet straight to the heart via the north end of a south facing moose.

Gerry, all I can say is I'm glad I wasn't drinking coffee when I read your answer.

We don't want to make it too easy. It takes skill and a good bullet to take out the heart from that particular perspective.
