Reflex sight on an over under shotgun

Anyone use one on a shotgun and how did you like it? My 20 gauge over under is cast for a right hand shooter and I shoot left. Would a reflex sight help me shoot better? Looking at grouse but also waterfowl too.

I have a job on a farm now and drive by piles of geese every day. Sounds like it wouldn't be too hard to get permission to hunt them in the fall.

I’m ruminating on that. The problem with cast off when your a south paw, the barrels arnt’ pointed where your eyes are looking and your brain is pointing your index finger. Cast off also forces you to focus on the barrel and the bead to ensure your looking straight down the barrel when you should be focused on the bird.
Would you be allowed to ship the gun to the US and have it shipped back after getting the stock bent?
 
I'm pretty sure it's going to be hard to ship it south of the border. I've thought about trying bending it myself but haven't tried it yet. LH over unders are pretty expensive other than the CZ which may be an option. Either that or try to find a neutral stocked gun.
 
Me personally I will not buy any shotgun that does not fit. I also don't believe in adjustable stocks as I can not tell you how many times I have seen them fail. I would sell it and find a shotgun that fits Auto Pump or SxS or O/U does not matter but a shotgun has to fit you to be successful with it.

I believe sig has an enclosed optic that has 2 dots as that could help since 1 bore is lower than the other. Them again the price iirc is steep.
 
Just did some reading on a shotgun forum. Some favorable reviews, biggest complaint was against the bulkier designs and the window, if you will, blocking your view of the bird in crossing situations. Those shooting with both eyes open liked it.
I would think the smaller profile, pistol versions with using both eyes may work just fine.
 
my turkey shotgun I put an Eotech sight on it . it is big and clunky , but it does work well . shortly after I did this , Burris came out with a nice small sight . I "THINK " they call it "speed bead " it's a nice little sight . some models of shotguns , they make a bracket that goes between the stock and action . the sight mounts to this bracket . if I had waited a little longer that's what I would have done . it would have saved me from drilling my shotgun .

I put a red dot 30mm tube type on a turkey shotgun for my grandson and his dad to try out. Did fine on turkeys but they weren't shooting at any flying. Does give good sight picture and acquire the dot quickly. They seem satisfied for the intended purpose.
