Hey guys! Just looking for some info on disassembling a factory 700 trigger. I have adjusted them before but was thinkning of trying to polish the sear and honing some spots. Just wondering if you thought it might help a factory trigger at all? Just looking for some insight. Figured if i messed it up it would give me an excuse to get a timney or jewell.
THANKS!!

Never taken one down all the way myself. Just had my Smith adjust / polish and respring one of the new X-marks. It turned out phenominal. I believe it was a Holland Spring Kit.

A can of worms buddy. I can adjust a 700 trigger in 5 minutes without taking it down. Careful

thanks guys. I think im gonna just get the holland spring kit. It looks like it should work for what I need and they said install is pretty easy. Thanks powerstroke

As POP mentioned.... Caution....
I've ajusted one or two in my day, again like POP stated without taking them down....... but opted for a professional smith to do this one.

Don't know about the X-Mark but I've done a few of the older model. Polishing or honing of the sear and lever bearing surface will reduce creep and the trigger will have a much smoother release. You can used Dremmel or a fine sharpening stone. Carefull not to round the edge of the bearing surfaces.

Here's a good instruction for adjusting the trigger after you're done with the above.
