Remington 700 bolt hard to push down

It sounds like several have experienced this same issue. What it boils down to is poor quality control during manufacture. A action with this problem should have never left the plant. My response is based on the assumption that there are no replacement or aftermarket parts involved in the equation.

It ended up being the cocking piece engagement with the sear. It was pretty much fixed whenever I got it cerakoted. It slides better.
