IVE JUST PURCHASED A REMINGTON MOD.7 WITH A 18.5-I THINK-
BARREL-LIGHT AND SMALL BARREL,HIHI
LOOKING RECOMENDATIONS FOR LOADS FROM REM7 USERS.
I WILL BE USING 120GR. NOSLER BALLISTIC TIPS ON IT.
WAS THINKING OF USING VARGET, IMR4064,IMR3031 CAUSE SMALL
BARREL.
WHAT DO YOU THINK-

7mm-08 is a nice round. You should also look at RL15 with the 120 gr BT.

I have had great luck with the RL-15 powder. I am loading it in a Kimber classic. I am actually using some left over Solid Base bullets with this load but shooting a .3-.5 routinely.

I have a Model 7 in a .260 youth for my wife. Awesome little round.
I also have a 7-08 M700 varmiter. I'm shooting 120's and 150's BTips with great luck. Using 4350 however loaded to the till with the 150/s.

I really love the little model 7. Have one in 308. A 7mm08 would be the perfect package for deer hunting and I'll bet the 120 ballistic tip will do you well! You will appreciate the size and lightness after a hard days hunt i'm sure, especially if you hunt in the mountains. Great guns!

They put a pressure point in about 1.5" from the tip of the forend. Try it as is and if not happy sand it out and seal it to free float it. If it still doesn't work bed the action. That's what I had to do to get mine to shoot. Hopefully you get lucky and don't need to do anything, but if you do, I'd try one thing at a time. Good luck! Anxious to hear your range report CZ.
