I have an extra HS Precision stock that will fit a Rem 700 BDL long action.
Will this stock work with one of the new SPS model rifles? I dont see why it wouldn't fit. Please respond if you know the answer to my question. Thanks in advance.
Yes, the action should fit just fine. It is the barrel I'd wonder about.
Remington barrels have various diameters and the HS Precision stock is usually used on a heavy barrelled rifle, such a Sendero. On the otherhand, the SPS is a standard sporter sized barrel and therefore the barrel may look odd with the large gap that would be present when sitting in an HS stock. There is a new SPS Varmint model coming out for 2007 that will have a larger diameter barrel.
