Hi Guys got back on friday from my whitetail hunt down at my sisters ranch.
We got 4 bucks 3 are in the 140 class and my nephew looks like he has got one close to 180.
I recovered the bullet that I shot mine with he was standing at just over 300 yards and I hit him high in the left front shoulder and recovered it on the right side just below the hide.
I have not weighed the bullet but I am quite sure that it is around 115 grains and a perfect mushroom.
My nephew used my rifle after I got my buck and he scored on a large buck unfortunately he had to take a Sask heart shot and hit him in the left ham up high as he was walking into a bluff the shot hit the spine and was sticking out the hide on the right side near his front shoulder.
This bullet is also a perfect mushroom and will weigh round the same as mine.
I will weigh the bullets and post it and if I can figure it out how to I will post the photos of the bucks and the bullets.
Yesterday I took the bullet into the gun shop and the barnes boys were pretty quite when they saw the results.
I also had the 2 sets of horns to prove the size
