I FL sized some .338 wm brass after annealing it. I ran every piece through my rifle and all but one went smooth. The one that didn't was hard to chamber and I had to work the bolt hard. I relubed it and resized it with the die in 1/4 turn more. The same thing, a hard piece to chamber. I checked the length and it was the same as the others. So why is this one piece like this? Do I toss it or load it and shoot it?

Might as well toss it, it's not worth any potential problems. I wonder if the belt is screwed up or maybe the case head expanded too much at one time.

case head expansion.
a full length die doesnt touch the area next to belt.
you need one of these:

That is my guess as well. Of all the belted magnums I've owned and reloaded for I've never had that issue until my 8mm mag. Bought the same collet die ( Larry Willis) and the die does work very very well. Keeps me from prematurely tossing other wise good brass.

It would be interesting to see what happens if you coated the case with black felt marker, then tried to chamber it to see where the interference was.... BT
