If you have read and appreciate John Barsnes' works, you will likely enjoy his on-line hunting/shooting magazine "Rifle Loony News" which features some great stuff. As should be a surprise to no one, John is a long-time fan of Nosler bullets: Partition, Ballistic Tip and AccuBond and does a LOT of hunting all around the world with them. I just read some of his comments on them in an article of his in "Rifle Loony News." Here's a quote from John:

"The toughest Ballistic Tips have a jacket
that’s very thin just behind the plastic tip, but very
thick at the base. In fact this thick jacket is over 60%
of the bullet’s total weight. The result is a bullet with
a front end that disintegrates violently, but a rear end
that holds together and penetrates. (Sound familiar?)
These very heavy-jacketed Ballistic Tips used
to be limited to bullets over .30 caliber, but most of
those are now AccuBonds, essentially Ballistic Tips
with the core bonded to the jacket. Today the heavyjacketed
Ballistic Tips are the 120-grain 7mm and the
180-grain .30."

There's a lot more and you can find it at: www.riflesandrecipes.com

It's a terrific site put together by John and his wife Eileen. Well worth checking out for all you hunters!
