The first time I had an erector system go bad was on an old Leupold 3x9. Moved it from one rifle to another and could not get enough elevation, tried different rings with no change. Called Leupold and they said to send it back, they replaced the scope at no charge. Talked with one of their techs and he told me the erector system had just come loose. Since that time, I have had a Steiner and a Burris give the same systoms. Both were returned to their factories and repaired. All the scopes still shot good groups but in only one position in the vertical plane.Rick.
