RL 17 its all that in my 25.06

well RL17 is all it was hyped to be I am getting right up against 3500 fps with 100 gr bts and cloverleafs to boot.

today I tried it under some 110 AB and same great grouping and teh best part was teh 100 gr bts hit just about 1" under teh 110s so easy transition back and forth if needed!

Sounds like a great combo, the 110 gr AB for big game near and far while the 100 gr BT can be used for coyotes and long range deer hunting.

What is the charge of R17 you are using and how long is your barrel? I have only used R19 for my 25-06 with the 110 AB and would be willing to try R17 if it made that much difference. My barrel is only 22" long, so I doubt it will get to those velocities though. That must be close to a max charge, so there is always a need to start lower and work up. Are you using a magnum primer?

I worked up to the max listed charge for 100 gr pills per alliant.

I have not chronoed the 110s
