You're a lucky guy. I hunted there when I was 15. 42yrs. ago. The mountains were sage brush on the sides and timber on the ridges. The deer were easy to spot but hard to approach. They'd go up to the timberd ridges and travel along the almost plateau shaped ridges. It was driveable up the mountains to the ridges straight up steep sage in a real good 4WD. The deer have huge racks . If you have someone to with you it would help to walk out the timber and stage someone on the end. Good Luck!
