I’m a big fan of hunting and fishing—I really love doing both—and I’ve been trying to figure out which country is most popular for that kind of thing. For a while now, I’ve wanted to visit Spain for it, but I’ve had some second thoughts. I know Spain has a strong hunting tradition and offers species like ibex, red deer, wild boar, and chamois, as well as good fishing in places like the Pyrenees and the Ebro, but I’m still weighing up whether it’s the right choice compared to other destinations. Has anyone here done much hunting in Spain, and would you recommend it as a top spot for combining hunting and fishing?

As far as countries go for the best hunting and fishing, it is hard to beat Canada, the United States, and Mexico, for those closest to home for most of on this forum. There is such a diverse number of species of game and fish to choose from!
For more exotic locations, in no particular order, New Zealand, Spain, Argentina, and many African countries, all offer great opportunities for both hunting and fishing. There are also opportunities throughout Europe and Australia too.
A hunt in the highlands of Scotland for red stag, and flyfishing for Atlantic salmon would be a grand adventure!

As far as pure numbers go, it has been reported that more hunters go to Argentina each year, than all of Africa combined. While most of the hunters are there for the dove hunting, they have great big game and fishing opportunities too.

What it will really come down to, is the hunting and fishing opportunities that are of interest to you!
Are you after deer species and rainbow trout, or plains game and marlin? Or after mountain species and rock fish?
These will determine which country will provide you with the best opportunities for your preferred targeted species, and overall experience.

I love hunting and fishing, and while I have hunted and fished (freshwater and saltwater) in my home province of BC mostly, I have also hunted in Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as in Colorado, and fished in California. I would like to hunt in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, and Hawaii, as well as do some fishing (freshwater and saltwater) too; marlin being tops on the bucket list!
I have also hunted in New Zealand and South Africa, and even caught my first bass in SA. I also am planning a hunt in Argentina, and would love to flyfish for trout (rainbow and brown) in New Zealand and Argentina.

I too, would love to hunt mouflon and ibex in Spain, but haven't looked at the fishing opportunities there, yet.

Best of luck in your quest!
And I hope you will share the info you gain as you research your adventure, and photos and experiences after you have gone, with us.
