I had two of the Ruger semi auto carbines;;;old and new. Both shot the 250 Nosler extremely well. However, that "hard trigger" really gave my God son fits. ( who I got them for at different times) Now, this was around 4 deg temp, and his ( and mine!) hands were pretty stiff1 ha I had him use my BAR 270 win ( 3# trigger) and he shot a big Spanish Goat in Colorado. Next time I set him up with his own tricked out Mod 700, also in .270. He shot a Jacobs sheep ( 4 horned ram) and a fallow doe, both with the Hornady LM 140sp. Now, he doesn't hunt at all...but I made many memories with him!

I do not know. At this time, we are using the Nosler 240gr JHP at 1724 fps and .850" at 50 yards.tjen":2i556zlc said:
