H-S Precision stock and Leupold VX-5HD 2-10.
Waiting on some supplies to make some ammo but have 44 rounds of 210 Barnes TTTX to hopefully make some noise with tomorrow.

Great rifle. I have mine set up for 250 gr Bergers. Out of my 26” 1-10 McGowen Precision I get 2,850 fps with RL26. Just recently Gunskinned mine.

Very nice Ruger. Huge fan of the 338. It’s been an excellent cartridge for me and hasn’t ever left me wanting for more.

Yep, love the .338s. Partial to the 250s myself. It’ll work just fine with 210s.

I sold my Ruger after I bought this.

M70 Classic 338, shoots as good or better then my Ruger did and is a tad lighter to carry.

Yes I did the work myself on the rifle. Gunskins vinyl Kryptec Prym1 Woodlands wrap. It took about 7 hours total time from degreasing to wrap and assembly. Aa little arduous to do it right but the results are pretty incredible. The option is a Burris XTR 2 5-25 x 50 SCR mil reticle . Burris PEPER Mount.

It has been awhile since I've had a 338 Win Mag.
I recently picked up a nice LH Sako AV Laminate in 338 Win Mag and mounted a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40 on it.
I did replace the red rubber eraser butt pad on it for a Decelerator pad. Should soften the recoil just fine.
Picked up a couple boxes of Federal Premium 210 gr Nosler Partition ammunition for it. This ammo shot very well in my last 338 Mag and should be just fine in this one. It worked very well on moose, elk, grizzly bear and bison.
Looking forward to shooting this one!

I've always used the lighter, Premium bullets in .338 WM (185XLC, 200X) 340 Wby (210xbt) and 338 RUM (180 NAB) elk, Aoudad, zebra, Namibian Gemsbok, Impala (of course!) and never recovered a single bullet! 338 anything is always a good choice. With these modern bullets, pads, brakes, one can make them a pussycat if need be...

A Ruger I've carried for elk, but have never yet taken elk with... Bears yes, elk, no.

375 H&H, Ruger Number One with a 1.5-5x Leupold, normally using 260 gr Nosler AccuBond bullets handloaded to 2650 fps via RL-15. It's a joy to carry and shoot. Farthest kill with it yet is about 306 yards, black bear.

Closest was about 15 feet! I went into the brush after a bear wounded by another hunter... Whoo Wee... Yes, that was pretty intense.

Thank you so much SJB358, the 210 Nosler Long Range AccuBond puts stuff down, dropped a bear with the 210gr last October out of an M48 in 30 Nosler.

My FPS using IMR7828 SSC is 3002fps using Winchester magnum rifle primers and Nosler Brass
