Very nice. I can not wait for the report.

I will have 11 mph winds on Monday and it will be a low of 60 and a high of 77 so I will try and shoot Monday morning.

That should give you time to put a real recoil pad on it. Other than that, decent looking rifle.

Why would I want a recoil pad when the same pad is on the 358Win and it was no problem at all with 225gr bullets, and a 30-06 is no problem when it comes to recoil????? My friend has a Ruger 338Win Mag and he says it is not a problem. I owned one in a 300Win Mag and it never was a problem. I disagree about the recoil pad. If the the 358, 338, 300 or 30-06 is to much for some one they can get a 270 or 25-06. Plus I don't like those big fat recoil pads like on my CDL 35 Whelen. It is ugly and it grabs my clothing and I never liked it. I like the Ruger pad and it really allows me to throw up quicker and is not in the way.

What loads are you loading up bullet?

I will be testing two powders H4350 and IMR4350

Bullets in the load development are:
165gr Accubonds
165gr Ballistic Tips
165gr Partition
165gr Sierra HPBT
180gr Partition Protected Point
220gr Sierra Soft Point
240gr Woodleigh Protected Point

Fed 210 primers being used

Nosler Custom Brass and Winchester brass.

I will only get to the 165gr bullets this Monday due to time and temp. It will take a couple of weeks for all of my testing maybe three weeks.

Thank you Jim and I am also looking forward to the range report.

Heck! All you need is one load to work with the 165 PT/AB or 180 PT AB and you're done. My go to load has always been a 180 with RL22 or H4350. Usually my loads yield 2750 or so and they will do everything.

Nice looking rig!

I hope those termites from all that wood don't get a chance to hop onto the stock. ;)
