I had some time on Saturday to throw some loads together to try in the 308 Ruger.
After the initial 8 shots I gave the barrel a light scrubbing with Hoppes and a brush.

First load was some 165 grain Sierra SPBT with Varget powder.
I was pleasantly surprised that the first three shots went just a hair under 1".

2nd 3 were with 150 Grain Hornady SPT and IMR 4064.
1st 2 looked good with a warm barrel but 3rd shot jumped out a bit.

Still for an out of the box rifle I think this is a decent result.

I've got some 125 Sierra loaded up and a bunch of different bullets to try.

I'd say you have a winner. That rifle seems like it's going to shoot real well!

Nice shooting. Nothing wrong with that.
I had heard the predators are a nice shooting rifle.

Yes, that appears to be a winner for you. A bit of tweaking and you're home free.

Starting off the 165's @ MOA is always a good thing. I would retry the 150 load is it looks to have some serious accuracy potential as well.
