Ruger RSI accuracy?

I have always been intrigued with these rifles. That said I have been told they are extremely finicky about accuracy due to the full stock.
Also how much velocity loss would occur from a 22" barreled to an RSI in 308?
Any input fellas?

Hey Pop,

I was doing some digging on that subject not all that long ago and what it boils down to for that parent cartridge being designed/optimized with basically what we would consider a fast powder, 90% of the energy is used up in the 18-20" range. Therefore, the 243/7-08/308 family does not really benifit from a barrel greater than 24" such as the 06 family would. As the 06 family will generally be using a slower powder.
