I finally made up my mind, and I will be either thanking you guys or blaming you because it's this forum that I took most of my tips from :) . M10 Preditor Hunter in .243 with a Burris 8-32x40 in Leupold standard bases and rings. Those of you with the sharp eyes will see the back mount is on backwards but that is how I had to do it, bolt wouldn't close the other way.
Going soon for the get on paper/barrel break-in. Nothing fancy loaded, just some 60 HPs and H380 and 100SPBT and R19.

Nice set up! That looks like a nice looking combo. Can't wait to hear how it shoots. That seems like the ultimate predator set up. Scotty

Awesome pup too!

+2 on the scope. That thing is enormous!

I love puppies! Yellow lab or Chessie?

She is a yellow lab. Scope is a little bit big yeah 8) but I can find the holes in the paper no probs

For me, seeing the holes wouldn't be the problem, it's finding the paper! :)

Looks like you have two great finds! That rifle should punch tiny groups and that pup should have no problem with a duck in its mouth!

I will bet that you are gonna enjoy that rifle. Officially jealous. Never had much experience with Burris. Good lookin' pup. Cant wait to hear the range report! CL

Had it to the range yesterday and broke the barrel in which took up most of my time. Although I did get it on paper and got a one hole group at 50 yards with the 60 grain HPs, I ran out of windage adjustment in my scope and had to frig with the mount, grrrrr, I despise those things. I have been using dual dovetails forever and well, hope to get things back on track next weekend.
Man, did I mention I love that trigger??

Thats awesome. Now you have the hard part done! Looking forward to hearing how it shoots once you get some real load development time. Scotty

I love the rifle, loved the looks of it when they came out with it. Very nice. I love labs too. Are you going to hunt your Lab?

Corey

Yeah I hope to hunt her, upland birds mostly. Our last dog was a golden retriever and she didn't like guns so she didn't become much of a hunter :) , she was the best dog I have ever owned though just the same, she sure had a big part in raising my 3 boys.

Same with my golden, he didn't like gunfire, but he could otherwise read my mind.
