If you have recently purchased a Sako Stainless or Tikka Stainless please contact your dealer or Berreta for details. I caught wind of this from our rep.

Or call our Shooter's Pro Shop and they will be able to assist you.
1-800-285-3701 or (541-312-2506).

Apparently the problematic ones were produced for Feb 04 and on.....

I know of 2 rifles in the Oregon area that have had serious problems.

If you have a stainless Tikka or Sako please check to see if yours was recalled.

From what I have heard SAKO/TIKKA will more than take care of you on this matter!

I had a 300wsm Finnlite blow-up on me in Oct 04 if any one wants to see what it looks like feel free to e-mail me or go to accuratereloading.com and then to gunsmithing then to Sako Blow-up. you will find pictures of mine and two others as well. I only know of one other that let loose here in the USA. Seems like Canada is getting hit hard. If any ones knows of any here in the States PLEASE e-mail me. I'm in Washington State.
Be Safe.

Some of these shooters have had terrible injuries. I feel for them.

The sentiment that Berreta is taking care of this is not what I read. I hope they do.

I read a lot of different forums. I dont know how Beretta is handling it . . . but I doubt if most of the other posters do either. It is not uncommon for people to jump on the wagon and toot their horn with a mob mentality. And if most rifle owners are like me, they never send in their warrantee cards, Beretta would have no way to contact them personally. I to hope that Beretta is doing right by these rifle owners/victims. But I will wait and see before passing judgement.

Do you have more info on those sako's in Canada, I have one that I bought used in 05 it was bought new in the summer or fall of 04. It is a 75 Stainless sythetic in 7 mm rem mag. I have ran a couple hundred rounds through it already. Anywhere I can call to find out more.

Try the Beretta website. Also try doing a general search on the web for Sako Recall. You will find more info there.

I did some research on this,

If you purchased a stainless Sako or Tikka after Feb 28 2004 call 1-800-503-8869 with your serial number and they will let you know if your rifle is being recalled.Seems they had some substandard steel in the barrels, and are replacing the barrles on the recalled rifles.
The serial numbers affected are 419140-461951,but I would recommend calling the toll free number and making sure!My model 85 has a totally differant serial number,so i am thinking it may be the 75.But called in my info just to make sure. Now am waiting for their return call.
My dealer has not heard of this recall and there is NOTHING about it on berettas web page.Beretta has the worst costumer service in the firearms business imho :x

This is old news. I bougt 2 Tikka T3 LS 270WMS's in the fall of 2004 when they arrived. The recalls were on rifles before then. My Sako m75SS 243 I bought last May is OK also. Contact Beretta USA in the USA or Stoeger Canada in Ontario to check if youre' concerned.
