was looking at a savage 338 lapua not real sure about the model number but is was more of a tactical model with a hs precision stock in the $1400 price range. i am not a huge fan of commercial rifles but i may cave and get it. does anyone have one of these? i have had a couple savages in the past that i let people use when they came out to my range and they shot quite well actually extremely well for the money was hoping someone had some experience with this one and would let go of some info on it thanks, jeff.

Jeff, I have almost pulled the trigger on that rifle about 10X now.. I know there are a few guys on here that have them and are reporting awesome accuracy and you really can't beat one for the price.
My buddy in Wyoming bought one this past year, mounted a Horus scope on it and went hunting. Pretty horrific with 250gr Bullets, but I think it would be fun to shoot.
I am thinking I would like to have one as well. I am not sure the wife would though :evil:
