I have a Marlin 883 stainless and looking for suggestions on a decent scope for it.

I have a simple 4x Weaver rimfire on a coupe .22's and that seems like a decent scope. No complaints on my part. Leupold also makes a nice rimfire scope that won't cost an arm and a leg. I guess it depends on how fancy a person wants to go.

Not looking to spend more than $200. Was thinking of maybe using my Burris FFII 3-9x40. Another question is rings. Maybe a set of Burris?

I have a Simmons 3x9x40 A/O with 1" burris rings on my .22 bolt action, for less than $100, I use mine mainly for plinking at the range etc, it works just great for me anyways :)

There's plenty of decent scopes for a .22/.22wmr for $200 and less, it's just a matter of what you like, even a Bushnell for under $100 well work just fine.

Good luck on your choice,
Lou :)

I have a 2-10x40 Minox on my Savage .22 WMR. Scope failed the test for being a big game scope so I mounted it on the rimfire. It works okay there.

I have a Leupold 4.5x14x40 Adj Obj. with
Talley bases and ring system on my Anschutz .22mag.
Easy parallax adjustment makes for great accuracy
with the .22mag.

I was perfectly happy with the same set up (no AO) until I got a 3-9x50 AO from Fotis... :) If you shoot 100yds and beyond the3-9 isnt really over kill IMHO. CL
