Gorgeous! Marlin 336 in 35 Remington.

Fell in love with the wood.

Fois,

That is a beautiful rifle! A VX-3 1.5-5x20mm would be just about perfect for the thick stuff.

Nice! Really a nice Marlin there. Congrats on bagging another great rifle Fotis. I like it.

Thank you guys. She will be getting a Leupy 2x7 compact.

Nice looking stick, Fotis! I suppose one of these days I'm gonna have to augment my lever collection beyond just an M99 and an M94.

Looks like a twin.. Great grab Fotis. I will probably put the 2x7 that is on the Guide Rifle on my Marlin shortly.

Nice grab FOtis, your ability to find beautiful firearms, and afford so many..., makes me envious. Some Speer 180 or 220gr FNs and IMR_3031 or H4895 and you'll be cruising.

Beautiful wood on both of those Marlins.

Man, I will tell you what. You can get an EASY 2300 (Hodgdon Leverevolution) out of the 200 CLRN with the 35 Rem. I am not sure you could ever wear out the cases with the load either. 2300 with that bullet is a great killer, performance is excellent as well. I looked around a bit before I started loading and man, this bullet is "the one" from Remington. I am not usually a big fan, but in this application, I am not sure if you could go wrong. I would imagine the Green Box'ed stuff from Remington has taken alot of moose, bear and deer in the North woods during its time.

This was shot into jugs at about 10-15 yards. I am not sure if it gets any better than that at least for the cost.

Awesome performance.

I stopped reloading for the 35Rem before LvrRev was released. Never messed with the 200gr heads as those Speers just stoned the deer and blackies. Now both of those 35Rems stay in safes as they've been replaced with less sensible cartridges for the Eastern woods. :?

The Rem CL does work well in that cartridge. Good looking pictures, Scotty.

I shot one little deer with the 35 Rem and the 200 CLRN this year. Granted it was a dinker, but it just toppled over... Big hole, through and through, little meat damage and no recoil really. It kinda pushed me to scope the 35.. Sights are nice for alot, but when I am really serious, I want some glass.. Plus, I just so happen to have a spare set of Leupold QRW's sitting around and an extra scope, might as well do something with em? Right?

Scott. I got some 200 gr REm CL's coming. What is your load and what is your accuracy?

Fotis, I will get you everything shortly. I'm not stating an accuracy claim cause I'm running a peep on the rifle but it seems to be really easy to keep all the shots in 1-5"-2" pretty easily. I think with the scope on it, it'll be impressive.

Nice find FOTIS congrats.

I may suggest playing around with H335 it gives pretty good velocities with the .35R . My pet load is a hefty (way over book max but safe) load of H335 and SPEER 180FP it chronoed at ~ 2380fps and accuracy is superb.

Here is my 35 (wood not as pretty though)

Her is what it can do with the H335/180SPEER Combo at 100yds

One more of two groups on a windy day and I even messed up number 2

Again Congrats

This is where I pulled my data from. I am running right at 2290-2300 outta my rifle Fotis. I do use the FCD as well. Kinda excited to put a scope on the rifle and see what it does.

Scotty:

She came in today. Looks much better in "person"~

About 2 years ago I bought my first Marlin lever action I had ever owned. It was a older 45/70 in excellent condition. I can't believe I have cheated my self for many years by mainly being interested only in bolt actions. Since then I have bought 2 used model 336,one in 30/30 and the other in 35 Remington. The 35 remington is a perfect deer cartridge up to 150 yards IMO. I found a used Leupold 4x with a post cross hair for mine. My 336 30/30 has a 2x7 scope, and I have been able to shoot about 1 1/4 inch at 100 yards with blue box Federal ammo.(5 shot group) Operating the levers on the 336 is super smooth. thanks for sharing your pictures.
