I wanted a little more magnification than the 2.5-10 nightforce so I changed scopes to a vortex razor LHT 4-22x50. I have been extremely impressed by the vortex LHT 3-15s and this being a FFP optic seemed perfect for my Seekins element 7 PRC.

I’ve been so busy shooting pistol comps the last few month I didn’t get a chance to zero the new optic until last weekend. I also wanted to try the Hornady outfitter load using the 160gr CX bullet as it’s supposed to be a tougher bullet avd should work better than the ELDX on bigger Alaskan game.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that it could be used with the same zero as the 175 ELDX LOAD. It shot about 2” higher than the 175gr ELDX at 100 yards.

Accuracy was great and the Performance was pretty decent too averaging 2891fps . I’ve heard from a few hunting acquaintances that this bullet had a really good track record on bears and moose.
I stepped it out to 300 yards avd dialed it up .4 mrad and shot this 5 shot group.

I think the critters better watch out this year.
