Sharp Whelen

Beautiful work and nice wood, but not my cup of tea... a little too Bavarian for my tastes...

That is indeed a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. It would be interesting to see a sample of what it is capable of doing.

Beautiful piece of work but someone forgot to place the bolt on the proper side

Blessings,
Dan

Very nice work, but I agree with BK. I would also insist on a Model 70-style safety if I was going to go to such lengths.

Very nice!
That one would look prety good in my collection.

I haven't met a rifle that wouldn't be nice to have. Besides they keep value better than the stock market!

That would be a great addition to any collection of 35 calibre rifles.

Personally, I like everything about the first, and the Classic would do for me as well,,,,,,but again being a left hand shooter,,,oh well.
But then the Classic wouldn't bother me in the least being straight combed stock. As for the bolt handle being on the wrong side,,,well
Those magazined rifle's are just so I don't have to carry a second round on my wrist, or in my pocket

I would go for the 700 Classic and pass on the other one but everyone had their own tastes obviously.

Same here Gerry - the "interesting" looking .35 Whelen obviously had a LOT of work put into it - but it doesn't really appeal much to me.

A 700 Classic or CDL, or a clean looking Model 70, is more preferable to me.

Or better yet, a Ruger Number One!

"Or better yet, a Ruger Number One!"

I won't argue that thought,,,still one if not my most favorite rifle!
