Well, it appears I'm going to have to switch the Accubonds out for some 100gr Muzzy Broadheads ahead of 27.5 inches of carbon.
CO released the Sheep Tag drawing results and my hunting buddy and I drew Sept Archery Tags

Congratulations on your sheep tag!
IMHO, the Muzzy 100 gr is the Nosler Partition of broad heads.

Very cool. Hope you get a nice one! Guess it's just because I saw Funny Farm again recently and the scene at the restaurant popped in my head. :p

Thanks Guys !

Luckily there is a Gym where I work with a staffed Trainer. I was thinking the odds were pretty good a few weeks ago and started working out to try and get a jump on this.

Yote.... I'm going to have a hard time getting that out of my head now...

JD338.........have you shot any of the new style Muzzys yet? The MX-3 ?

I shoot the original Muzzy 100 gr 3 blade. They are truly Bad to the Bone.

JD338....
That's what I've always used with great luck !
I was looking @ the MX-3's due to they are a little smaller and was thinking the small diameter Axxis arrows may like them a little more.....who knows, hard to change those things that have worked great in the past especially on something like this...

Greg....
This was year number 9 for the draw.... so actully not too bad.

Plan on having a lot of scouting trips this summer and a lot of pics.

Awsome dude! That's from Finding Nemo but it sure seems to fit.
From what I've read it's a tortures hunt but "What a trophy"!
Congratulations on the draw  We'll all be there with you in spirit.
Do you have a guide or you going it on your own? What rifle are you planning on using?
Good Hunting!!!
Greg

Greg,
Thanks !... No, no Guide and drive distance is only about an hour from where I live. I do a lot of elk / deer hunting on the oposite side of the canyon from where the sheep are located and have a fairly small area to hunt.
My gun of choice for this hunt...... is a Hoyt X-tec....28in Axis Carbon Arrows & 100gr 3blade Muzzy broadheads. My hunting buddy and I both drew tags so this will be a great time.

Powerstroke,

You done good. It will be an awesome hunt, no doubt. That fact that it is close for you is a real bonus. Congratulations on getting the draw.

I am a jealous as a hunter can be, congrats! That is the ultimate hunt in my book. Start humping those hills with a pack full of rocks!

Powerstroke, Will you be close to Georgetown? I see a ton of them on I-70 most of the time I get out that way. Sometimes litterally on the shoulder of the highway feeding and probably licking salt or creasote.

Yote,

North side of I-70 yes.....There was a Ram that hung out at the bottom of Fllyod hill a year ago that was a book Ram.
Anyway... we'll be further to the north towards the tunnel. We'll just hope the weather holds. I've seen everything from t-shirt weather @ 13,500 ft to snow clear to your  that time of year.

I wish I could have taken a picture up there a few years ago as I was spotting for elk.... Had Sheep, Elk & Deer all in the same field of view....

257, don't give away all of the Marine Corps tricks you learned for getting shape! Man, humping the mountains with a pack full of rocks would be enjoyable if I knew it would be me closer to a sheep!

Good luck with your hunt, I am sure it is going to be awesome. Scotty
