Shooting Steel with the 257 Roberts

I sorta figured you would enjoy this Charlie. Really breathes some life into the 257 with slow powders and slick bullets. I know JD and yourself got me thinking a 257 Roberts wouldn't be a bad rifle to have around.
Scotty, you need an ai'd version. Then you can sling 100gr bt's at 3450fps!

Steve,

Factory 24" 1-10 twist barrel. It has always been a shooter.

Yeah, that would be cool. I love the 25 caliber rifles. Need to shoot my wife's 25-06 more.. She will never wear that barrel out with as little shooting she does!

Nicely done Jim and man you should be proud. She is doing great with that. What a perfect little round that .257 Roberts is and that classic Remington is sweet!! I know folks bash Remington, but they have produced millions of very fine rifles. The 110 gr. AccuBond sure is a fantastic bullet also and you saw my recovered bullets from my 6mm at distance, and they really open up nicely even when the velocity starting to drop quite a bit. Nosler really did a good thing by making those Ballistic Tips on steroids.

I could see her getting a M48 Legacy in 257 Roberts or a M48 Professional in 260 Rem. 8)

Nice choice.

Is she talking about buying her own rifle Jim?

I am so disappointed you guys did not draw for antelope.

We are too buddy. She is content with the 700 Classic 257 Roberts for now.
I'm sure at some point she will want her own rifle and that is where the 260 Rem
would come into play.
