100 yards: Sitting with my back against a pole (tree  ), using a Pole Cat hiking/shooting staff 2-shots and sitting back against pole 2-shot w/o Pole Cat.

Upper left dot was with 6mm Rem in my #1 B. I was aiming at the lower left diamond. Next was my son's 6mm MK II aiming at the lower left diamond since I was off a bit on my first shot with my rifle.

Next was my 30-06 on the lower right diamond and then my wife's 25-06 on the upper right diamond. Those two were sitting without using my Pole Cat and just sitting with my back against the pole at the range.

Brian, I think we need to get on this, this weekend! This one looks like some fun!

Good shooting David. Scotty

Corey shooting sticks are perfectly fine. I don't have them but I sometimes use the Pole Cat for hiking so I thought I should try it out. Since it's a single perch, it's much harder to keep it steady. The up down is simple but hard to keep the side to side out of it. On two shots as listed, they were just sitting without using anything else other than my back against that green tree (pole).

Done deal. Gotta find my sticks.

I think I have a pole like David's we can use. Just have to remember to pack it. This should be a good one. Scotty

I put a single v notch stick in the truck. Should be able to clean this course today. Scotty

I went out to do shot # 2 and I can't see my gongs/target backers. I gotta get my hay cut, this looks like a fun shot will an ol fence post work .

Sure I don't know why not. Must be sitting though and you can use the fence post as support similar to shooting on the side of a tree as a support. That make sense. This is a sitting shot. You can put your back up against it, or use it as support from a sitting position. Lets see the results!!

Here is mine and my son's target for the one and done, shooting of a stick. Man, that was a tough one, gotta say I am not a fan of a shooting stick like that.

My two shots are the 270WSM and the 35 Whelen.

My boy decided to try it with his 243. Scotty

Not easy true, but great practice! Remember you can go back and do any of the shots again if you want to. Still a nice job and you all did nicely. It is hard off the single support like that as it moves side to side. I sat and tucked it tight against one leg to help take some of that movement out of it. Heck look at my target.......I was 3.5 inches away from the diamond with my Ruger #1B in 6mm. Got a good one for the next one!!

Scotty you did also notice that I did two rifles just sitting with no support for fun..........

I think I could have done better with the tight sling sitting on my butt. I didn't back up to a pole on these shots, wanted to simulate shooting on a side hill with no support other than the pole. Humbling to say the least!

Might need to invest in a pair of lightweight crosssticks, I believe those would be great for these kinds of shots if the grass of veg is too high to go prone. Scotty

That is what the Montana sling was made for..you have one.

I am not sure what rifle I am going to put it on. Probably the 264WM or the 338WM... It is a nice sling and I need to get breaking it in! Scotty

I have been wearing one of the Montana belts from the same company and love it. Very rigid and very well made. I will be buying more in the future, slings that is. Scotty

This one was tough guys, I'm no fan of the monopod. Elevation wasn't too hard to sort out, but the windage was tough.

My .223 is heavy enough that it steadied things up a bit, I got fairly lucky with the .280.

Nice job to the guys participating. It would be nice to see more join in.

I've honestly been out and shooting, little practice. Unfortunatley for me it's more work taking the pictures and uploading them then posting them. Yea I'm a wuss I'll get some put up but I may do a couple at a time LOL.

Finally got around to the range today, it was much needed me time. Shot with my 7 Mag 160 grn AB using my home made shooting sticks.

I also tried my 50 cal muzzle loader but somethings up with it, shot the paper target next to the one I was aiming at, of course it has open sights could have been me too. Need to bench it again and see.
