Hi fellas, shot the ruger 375 H&H today @100yds for now, as far as the rifle goes, I simply love it, the trigger is very smooth, and breaks very clean..I also like the feel of it, the weight and the way it handles as well, no issue loading that 2nd round in a hurry too..felt recoil was fairly mild, and very comfortable to shoot, anyways I shot the 260gr Nosler AccuBond and 270gr remington soft points today, fired 24 rnds today  , the accubonds are sighted in for a 200yd zero, well go back in a week or 2, im very pleased so far, Lou.

WOW! That is a shooter LOU! Darned GREAT shooting buddy!

Man, nothing to complain about there, at all! Very nice!

Whats does the advertised speed of the 260 AB and 270 Rem's say? I would think they should be some POWERFUL moose medicine!

260gr AccuBond, 2700fps =4210 ft lbs energy
270gr rem, 2690fps=4337 ft lbs energy
They both hold almost 2300 ft lbs @ 400yds

I really like the 260gr AccuBond pal..This being my 1st time out with a 375 H&H, or a single shot rifle, im pleased, and well only get better pal

What is not to like?

Nice! What did you scope it with?

I echo Fotis's comments. It is hard to not like a rifle that does that right outta the gate. Very potent loads right there!

Hi Fotis, it's the scope from my 45/70 pal..Burris E1 ballistic plex 2-7x35mm...alhough I wear eye glasses, even @7 power, the target looks small, but very clear...my 270wsm wears a leupy 2.5-10x40, big difference for me, but for a hammer like the 375 H&H the 2-7 is fine, it rained like crazy today, fired many shots @50yds, long story short, pretty much ripped the crap outta the bull  ..I always say, if you can't see it, you can't shoot it...(im referring to my vision that is)..but that's just on paper though...gotta a deer/elk/moose standing out there, then my vision suddenly gets better, bigger target  ..Lou

Are these 200 yard groups?
No Fotis, I wish...These are only @ 100 yards pal...first time out with a non bolt action rifle...Lou

They are nice.

I hope my 338 #1S is that good to me when I shoot her.

I well be taking the 270wsm as well to newfy, 8 more moose down this week  ...I hope they save me atleast 1 shot at bull/cow  ..so far average shot range is from 50-200yds, that was confirmed today...bad weather past week, 9 hunters for 8 moose..the 1 hunter held out till friday, passed on a few, and missed the 1 he shot!.. ..Lou

Im most positive it well be Fotis..they are #1 for a reason pal

Excellent!

Good shooting. I like the rifle & cartridge. Have tried three different scopes on mine:

old 2-7x Redfield
old 2.5x Leupold compact
new 1.5-5x Leupold.

The 200 yard sight-in is very useful.

Guy

Here is mine. Never fired the rifle and I had it for months.

Very nice Fotis!..trust me, you well love it bro!...mines ready for now, but well upgrade on the scope after the hunting season...NOW, get out and shoot that beauty

Very nice Lou, definitely much better than minute of moose, looks like you are dialed in :) How do you like the Burris E1 2-7.35 scopes? I have two FF II's in 2-7x35, one has be solid the other one needs to go back for repair and then will go on the CZ 452 22 lr. Over all great scopes for the money though.

WOW! two great groups. You are dialed and ready to go!!!! Its pretty, and a great shooter what more could you ask for? We do we see game pictures. ?

Lou, You are golden, bye! Newfie moose are soon to be harried and hassled and ultimately hauled to the abattoir.

Very nice on both shooting and rifle. I love the numbers 1's as well. Them moose are in for a rude awakening.

Fotis, gorgeous wood on that one of yours BtW..
