Very nice Lou, definitely much better than minute of moose, looks like you are dialed in :) How do you like the Burris E1 2-7.35 scopes? I have two FF II's in 2-7x35, one has be solid the other one needs to go back for repair and then will go on the CZ 452 22 lr. Over all great scopes for the money though.

Well for starters, thank you all on this great foroum! ..This was the first time out with a "new to me" ruger #1 375 H&H  ..I thought the recoil would have been abropt, but after all that shooting, it wasn't an issue 8)

Jerry, thanks pal, the scope is fine, and holds zero very well, had some trouble getting the proper eye relief, but got er done..I had this scope on 2 45/70's and never had an issue..for now it's all set up and ready to go, however it well be topped with a leupy after the season is done, which one? I'm not sure yet, I need to see which one is best for a ruger #1...this seems to be an issue with these great rifles pal..Lou :)

Oh, yeah, you're ready me bye! Go get 'em, Lou.

Very nice wood on that Fotis. That would be a great Wyoming elk rifle...

Lou, you are going to hammer a bull. I am pulling pretty hard for you buddy..

That is some pretty good shooting for sure. That is about the same size of groups I'm getting with the 260 AB out of my 375R. If you haven't shot a critter with it yet, you'll be very pleased with it when you do.

Lou,

That is one fine shooting hammer.
I can't wait to read the story about a 260 gr AB slamming a bull moose to the ground.

Way to go buddy.

Thanks, first time out with the ruger #1, I'm very sure after 1 more range trip I can shrink those groups  ..I well be taking along my sako 270wsm as well, but according to my guide, the average shot has been about 150yds, with some taken at even under a 100yds..I have no issues shooting the 375 H&H even @ 300yds with the 260gr nosler AccuBond 8)

Jim,Scotty and Mike, I well try my best for sure,I have been waiting a loooong time for this
BTW....I fired 24 rnds on saturday, both with open sights, and with the scope...my shoulder doesn't hurt, but it's kinda yellow/black.blue in colour  ...Lou

Nice colours; I see them a lot on my own body.

That is next year's elk gun, as soon as she proves herself at the range.

Fotis, after learning more about Wyoming, the more I wanna get there when I retire, although, I am thinking somewhere around Cody is probably better for me. I will visit for Prong Bucks though! HA!

I doubt you will have any trouble making it shoot. I really wanna do a 225 load for my 338WM.. thinking it might be the best of both worlds with a 225 at 2850 or so.. The range and the HP to manhandle some elk!

Cody is great but the jobs are the issue.....

I am with you there. I don't mind traveling to go to work for short trips.. I really wanna live in the near mountains. I will sacrifice myself to live where the mountains are high and the elk run... I know, crazy huh.

Nope not at all I would be the same but Mrs POP would neuter me!

Well, some of us finally reach an age where it doesn't matter in any case. My good lady will travel to be with family in southern climes each winter (except for this winter). Her absence is right in the middle of hunting season.

Maybe that is the case, but she loves the sight of the mountains. Same as I..

The big timber does excite me though.

WSM, that #1 is a great rifle & the 375 H & H is a dandy caliber
You are set for anything you want to hunt:)
Looking forward to your hunt with stories & photos!

Blessings,
Dan
