On Saturday I was guiding a group of guys from Portland. We had been underway for about an hour, Molly had retrieved several pheasant, quail and chukar. The boys were fine shots. Molly was working some heavy switch grass and started coyote hopping back toward me. Runner I yelled. Molly locked on point only a few feet in front of me I kicked some grass, all hell broke loose. Not a rooster, a skunk. Both Molly and I got drilled, I lost a pair of pants Molly has had three baths. Neither of us will ever be the same.
The clients to their credit continued to hunt, albeit staying up wind of Molly and I
Guiding is fun.

Oh, man. That stinks! Literally. Yeah, you never quite get the smell out of the clothing. The mercaptans are simply overpowering.

If you still have the pants, try spreading some baking soda on them, and then pour a good amount of hydrogen peroxide and cover it for a few hours. It's a homemade, very powerful oxyclean. I've always wanted to know if it could take the smell of skunk out of clothes.

Yeah, that stinks.
Our dog likes to chew on skunks and ends up on the he short end of the stick every time.
Baking soda, peroxide and a couple drops of dish soap does a decent job of deodorizing the stink.
2-3 treatments eliminates the odor.
Just might work on your hunting pants.

The peroxide, baking soda and dish soap worked on the dog. Interesting is I can't get the smell out of her E coller. The pants, well they were pretty worn out, they're in the burn pile. Hunting again tomorrow and Thursday we'll see how her nose is doing.

It may be an old wise tail since I've never tried it but I've been told a good soaking in tomato juice will kill the smell also.
I had a Lab that would catch skunks and kill them. That dog never got sprayed, he would grab them by the head and one quick shake and brake their neck.

When my daughter's dog tangled (and lost) with a skunk, she tried the tomato juice. Her response was that the dog smelled like an Italian skunk after the tomato juice. Doesn't give me much confidence. Sure glad we don't have many of those critters up here.

Tried the tomatoe juice, turned Molly into an Italian German shorthair pointer. 1/2 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, a teaspoon dish soap, mix well do not put in a closed container. Do not hose the dog down first, that just spreads the stink. Get the solution on the affected area, work it in then wash the dog. Works very well.

Sorry you got sprayed... At least your naturally scented for some coyote hunting now Don
