That is a beauty!! I should have waited on my 7mm-08 American Classic.........

I am still pretty happy with it.........

They ALL shoot!!

....and FYI, I have had very good luck with Bud's Guns, the link POP posted. I have purchased 3 rifles from them without a hitch.

Beautiful gun, Pop!!! I've been looking at the Savage in 338 WM but do have a question for folks familiar with the rifles. What scope comes on the rifles in the pkg deals?

You will be better off getting one without the scope. They usually use very cheap Simmons scopes. Get the rifle and put the best glass you can afford on it.

+1 for sure on it tearing up a cheap scope. My friends son bought himself a Savage 338 Win Mag and had a cheap scope on it and it did not last past the 25th round. The stock on a Savage will let the 388Win Mag pound your shoulder and it is also pounding the scope.

Dang, you guys are making me have second thoughts on that .338 WM!! :grin: I'm not a wuss but I don't want so much recoil that I'm jerking and flinching even before the round goes off.
