I spent the morning breaking in the barrels of the 280AI and 22-250AI. I followed the method of shoot 1 and clean x3. shoot 3 and clean x3, shoot 10 and clean x3. By lunch I was sick of cleaning barrels but the barrels were cleaning very easily and starting to shoot well  .

280AI brass forming load 160gr NAB into the lands,45gr H414, Rem brass and WLR primers - 1"group - 3 round group

22-250AI brass forming load - Fed & Norma brass, 64gr BSB into the lands, 35gr H414, WLR primer - 5 shot 1" group.

The 150gr LRAB did a lot of 2 at 1/2" then popped the third out to an 1.5" several loads did this. I think I'll play with OAL to see I can bring the third one in. I had four charge weights that put the first two at a 1/2" and then popped the third out using RL22 and 7828.

3/4"group - 58gr RL22 168gr LRAB at.020 off the lands! Nosler brass and Fed 210M primers.

These look promising! I think I'll increase the distance to the lands in .005 increments on these.
It was a pretty good day all in all. I think the 280AI is going to really like the 160NAB and the 168LRAB. Formed an additional 75 cases for the 280AI and 130 for the 22-250AI.
Been way to long since I did serious work at the range - had a good day!
I was particularly pleased with how the 280AI shot; easy recoil, smooth action and handled well. I've got a Kepplinger single set trigger on it and it is easy to shoot well. The 22-250AI's trigger is a stock Rem. and it needs a work over or better yet replaced with a Kepplinger. The 22-250AI is hard to miss with. I started to shoot fragments of clay pigeons left by others on the dirt bank at 130yds and I had to really work hard to miss 8).
