Starting over

I am rebarreling my rem 700 with a new barrel, again chambered in the 280AI. All those who shoot it what are your loads you have had good luck with? Im NOT shooting rl22. Im sticking with the temp stable powders. Also gonna shoot the 160-168 grain bullets. possibly the 150 gr scirocco.

I would appreciate some direction on the new barrel with some loads. Its a 26" and its gonna be chambered in the nosler 280AI and im gonna use nosler 280AI brass.

Sorry muzz, I just now saw this. I suppose I've missed something as I am not aware of any error in Re26's burn rate. I can tell you I bought the update disc made available in September 2015.

Correct burn rate (Ba) for RL 26 is .372

It is pretty much exactly the same as RL22 and MRP, just way more stable in extreme temps.

Well tested and verified at distance.

RL-26 shoots the 168 ABLR very well in my 280 AI, and is my go to load in it now. I'm getting about 2940 out of a 24" tube.

I also had great luck with 7828.

JD, I knew that question was going to come..... I'm thinking it is either 60.5 or 61 gr, but don't hold me to it. I haven't played with it in about a year. It shot so good several times I loaded up a box of 50 and forgot about it. A good friend smashed a cow elk with it last august though, worked pretty dang well!
