Stock question

Anybody know if a stock made for a remington 700 will fit a 721? I would like to put a synthetic stock on my 721 but have yet to find anyone who offers one specifically for the 721 but they aren't much different from a 700 so I got to thinking well maybe it will fit? Any experience or advice with this?

Ok, after much searching on the web I found this:

Rem 721/722 rifles can be fitted to BDL stocks using existing parts or converted to ADL/BDL/CDL versions with updated parts. Stocky recommends you stash the old bottom metal (or sell it to a collector) and upgrade to an ADL or BDL.

So based on that it sounds like I might be able to just order the BDL bottom metal and replace that and I can drop it into any Remington 700 BDL stock? What do you think would you go ahead and order the stock and metal based on the above statement? It would be nice to have the ability to unload the rifle without running the rounds through the chamber.....
