I've seen a place with .408 cal barrel blanks but not .410 those seem to be tough to find.I haven't played with the Legend cartridges to date...but as we don't have this type of restriction, I don't feel pressured to run out and try them, as I have rifles that work here already; 35 Rem (wife's saddle gun), 356 and 358 Win's, and 375 Win.
Great Lakes 41...have to look this one up, as I am unfamiliar with it. (Love the 41 Rem Mag...and would love to rebarrel a Marlin 336 to 414 Super Mag (just haven't been able to source a 41 cal barrel as yet...have dies and brass)
Collecting cartridge families is a cool thing! Be neat to hear of you do this with the Legends
Otter's H&H battery is very cool!
Having the collection of cartridges based off certain cases would be cool...30-06 family, 308 family, WSM family, Magnum family (264 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, 338 Win Mag, 458 Win Mag)
I have some of the cartridges of the various cartridge families. While I may never get them all, just having the ones of *most interest to me personally is enough for me! (Or filling **caliber gaps in my battery), and they could serve as a single cartridge based battery for a 2 or 3 rifle battery if forced to such an extreme!
E.g.:
308 family - I have (and have had); (243 Win), (260 Rem), *7mm-08, (308), *338 Federal, and *358 Win - as there isn't a factory .257 cal on the 308 case, I built a 250 Savage to fill the gap as it was close...well close enough for me
30-06 family - I have (and have had): 270 Win, *280 Rem, (30-06), and *338-06 - have thought of getting the *25-06 Rem - and although the 9.3x62 isn't based on the '06 case, its dimensions are so very close, having this .366 cal is close enough here for me too!
WSM family - I have: *270 WSM and *300 WSM - have thought of getting the 7mm WSM
Magnum family - I have (and have had); *7mm Rem Mag, (*338 Win Mag), and *, **416 Taylor (458 necked down)
