I don't need to tell you how hard it is to find powders right now. So a couple weeks ago I made my rounds just checking gun stores and found a fresh shipment of Hodgdon superperformance. Bought a couple poumds and tried some in my 30.06 with an interlock bullet. I guess it is but isn't rocket science because they shot more Accurate than ever before and according to the loading info, faster than my other loads! I liked it so much I tried some in my other 30.06 with gameking billets and again excellent results. It will NOT be replacing my "pet" loads but will surely supplement my dwindling supply of 4350 powders.

One other discovery brought on by the shortage of loading supplies is h414 which has found it's way into my heart through outstanding performance in my 7mm08 and a swift 150 gr bullet. Would love to try it pushing an ablr of the same weight if I ever own some. . .

I just worked up a load in my 30-06 using Superformance. I never fired the highest charge weight because I was getting velocity fluctuations like I've never seen before in the first 4 charge weights. Accuracy was the pits.

I'll try it with something else but it does prove a few things about this reloading craft, you never can tell till you try and nothing is a definite.

Glad to see it worked out for you, maybe it will have a "Eureka" moment for me elsewhere.

Superformance is a great powder. I use it in my 280 Rem with amazing long-range accuracy. With hot loads it puts the 150 and 160 grain bullets where I want them.
