SW 500 at the range.

Just got my big girl back from SW repairs. I had to try her out so I went out today in sub zero weather. Froze but it was great.


I loaded the new 325 flex tip 40 grains of H110 about 1600 fps
the 460 Cast performance 30 gr H110 about 1400 fps
he 700 T-rex with lilgun 1230 fps

fouler and 3 shots at 25 meters with the 325gr flex tips

group with the 460 Cast

Like I said cold. Range with silhouettes.

Actually they replaced a defective barrel so it is a new gun! :lol:

You got the power and the accuracy. What's going to be your first hunt with it?
I thought about getting one of those but believe it or not the power level was even above my .454 and I wondered how it would shoot what are your thoughts?

Hey, them "Cheekens" stand out real well against the snow. Course maybe your range has rules about abusing the animals. That hand cannon would bend them poor little targets. You'd be getting calls from PET(steel)A..... Glad its workin out. CL
