For father's day and my B-day, I received the Z5 3-18 BT with the 4w reticle. Finally, after a few months of this scope sitting in my safe, I was able to get to the hills to stretch the 7 STW's legs out with the new scope.

I settled on the the new Barnes 168 grain LRX bullet. With a .550 BC, I figure I couldn't go wrong at 3160 fps.

At low light, the optic is very clear as we all know. The ballistic program on the web site was easy to use and has been spot on out to four hundred yards. I hope to make it to Sac Valley Shooting Range next week to shoot five and six hundred yards.

One of the things that I love about Swarovski's ballistic turret is that I can change bullet weights or powder charges without buying a new turret. Just re-zero the scope and follow the ballistic program's instructions.

It was pricy, and it took a little convincing of my wife and even myself to make the purchase, but I am sure glad that I did.

That is a great report of an excellent product. Congratulations on a fine scope. I have no doubt it will serve you well for many years to come.

Man, that is the scope I want right there! Please post a picture of it up, mounted on your rifle. Great review. That is the optic I think I am saving my ducats for in the future. Got a big 338 coming in about a year. Might be a good one for that rifle. Thank you for the review.

I have this scope on my 270 Wby Lazer but i have the BT with plain plex reticle as i have the same set up on my 300 Wby Vanguard SMOA and once you get used to using them they are better than any cds reticle IMHO? Glass is hard to beat for low light transmission!

I can't wait to take the combo to Wy and Co this year. For some reason the site will not allow me to post the pic--"Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." ???

The Z5 should serve your hunting needs for many years with no issues. They are great scopes and have all of the attributes and features that most of us would ever want tin a scope. Congratulations and let us know how the scope works out for you on your trip to Wyoming this year.

I have it's "little" brother, the Z3 4-12x50 with a BT....I still have to settle on a load for the 300H&H it's on, and then I'll whip the turret ballistics up and dial 'er in. I'm anxious to get it in the deer stand...they are sure are some superb scopes!

I inspected this scope last week and I must say i was favorably impressed!
What a gem of an optic! Wish I could afford 20 of them (or one for that matter, as of right now that is)

Kahles invented and marketed that device, but while it was part of Swaro (KX models). The little guys who are the innovators never get the credit! Great scope though, glad it was successful.

The optik above was a repaired return that goes back on my 300 Wby SMOA Vanguard but i was test fitting it to check out the Near Manufacturing Alpha Mount and the objective is a 52mm and the big brown guys damaged my 3.5-18x44 so it had been shipped back for a new one which is now setting atop this rifle! Glad all that stuff is over with and my impression of the Z5 line has improved since they repaired my AO on my 5-25x52 and it is working fine once again! A mount is one fine mount! The reticle is just a plain plex reticle since i have the BT windage turret it's run your program and tape your chart to your stock and zero it near MPB! The rifle is a 270 Wby Lazer!

Fine looking stick on the Weatherby and with the Z5, how can you miss? Looks like whitetails or muledeer would have nightmares thinking about that one! What is not to like???
