...have I fallen for "hype" or are there accurate loads available say for 405 LaserCast bullets? Loading this week without success, using moderate charges of RX-7, H4198 I have yet to find something worth loading again. Using Lyman #48 book and Load-All and will begin loading today with faster powders........any pet loads appreciated...thanks..xray

Try 15 grains of Unique or 17 grains of BlueDot behind that 400-grain bullet. Are you seeing any leading in the bore? That could be why you are getting poor accuracy. If those bullets are "hard cast" then you'll need higher pressure loads to get better accuracy and no leading. Just watch to see that you do not exceed loads appropriate for your particular rifle type (Trapdoor-level loads are about tops for the Contender).
