Friend asked me if Tac could be used in the 30-06. I haven't and am curious as well. Read where it has been used in the 35 Whelen and plan on trying it. Your thought and comments please. Dan.

Found data for up to the 150gr bullet weight in the 1st edition. Thanks for the additional data. Have passed it to him. Dan.

Hodgdon's online reloading data center shows 8 different 30-06 loads featuring TAC. All are with lighter bullets, 110 - 140 grain bullets. Looks like good velocity from the 125's and 130's. Those are viable bullets for deer sized game for sure. Heck, I'd hunt bigger game with the 130 grain Barnes TTSX, which Hodgdon shows at 3200 fps via TAC.
