Talk To Me If You Bought an 06 M48 Trophy Grade

Because I know me, I won't set it down until I ring it out and know it intimately, so I don't have time for it this fall, no way, it would get in the way of all my planning that has been going on for the last 8 months.

Nosler upped their price from 1795.00 to 1995.00 and I was going to get an overrun for 1495.00 that they were offering yesterday and now it is no more and the price is almost 2,000.00, don't think so, not at that price. That shot me out of the water. Just my luck, but maybe it is a sign of things to come and if so, I won't be getting a Nosler rifle, I just can't justify that.

Hold up Bullet! :)

Yes, our retail price is going up, but we're still offering the $1495 NRA deal as stated. We currently have 35 Whelen's and 7mm-08's in stock, but you're going to have a bit of a wait on your hands if you opt for a 280 AI. Our current lead time is looking at about 5 months.

If you'd like more info or just want to chat about our rifles, feel free to call me anytime!

Ok, Nosler 4 (Shawn) has helped me scratch my itch and I really appreciate his help. Now before Sotty begins to mourn my choice, I got a 358Win that is highly accurate shooting the 225gr AccuBond at 2576fps so I don't need a 35 Whelen. The real big stuff I will opt for my 300Win mag and either the 180gr NF or the 220gr Partition. I need the spot that the 7x57mm was going to fill so I am going with the 7mm08. Had one 20yrs ago, a custom built off a Sako action and it was a tack driver. Remember a deer kept sticking his head up above this fallen tree at 205yds from me so I started counting and timing when he would lift his head and when he did it the third time I put that bullet right at the base of his head where it met the neck and I dropped him right there. So, that said, I have a M48 TGR in 7mm08 going to be shipped to me in mid October.

Nice, that sounds like a heckuva nice rifle Mike. No problem with that cartridge. Should be a very fun one to work with as well and you know you will never have to search really hard for brass. Scotty

Great cartridge, Mike. You kind of talked yourself into that one all by yourself. Congratulations.

Yes, I honestly did talk myself into this one and you know it was not hard at all. I have two important deer hunts one in Tennessee in Dec and one in Louisiana in January and I want to take a 7mm on these hunts. I thought it was going to be a 7x57mm but the guy was to backed up for this year so the M48 TGR in 7mm08 will fill the bill just fine.

OH!!!! DID I MENTION I WAS EXCITED!!!

Yes, I do, been fighting off one of these Nosler rifles for the last two years and now I have one.

You will not regret going with the TGR, I really like mine and it does everything they say it will and more. The 7mm-08 is a super cartridge and one that I pondered before committing to the 06'. Congratulations!

Don, thanks for commenting. I have for a couple of years researched and have been convinced that it was a very thought out rifle by Nosler. Your comments and those of others have convinced me that I could not find a better rifle and for a company to give a buy back guarantee and also guarantying that it will shoot a three shot inch group at 100yds says it all concerning their product. They not only make a rifle but have been making outstanding bullets and now brass, so they are truly committed to the whole package. :)

I'd like to get my paws on one, the Nosler rifle sure looks good on the ol' computer screen and I'll bet it's a mighty fine hunting rifle.

Congrats on your selection of what will likely be one heck of a rifle. Very good price right now too.

Regards, Guy

Thanks guy, and the fun of this will be my grandson can shoot this cartridge and rifle also, without being hammered by heavy recoil as I am working with him on his shooting technique. When Jordan and I hunt together I will be letting him use this M48 TGR 7mm08 on deer and hogs, he will have a blast with this rifle.

Congrats Mike. You can't go wrong with 7-08. There are tons of bullet selection in this caliber.
