ive finally got a rifle barrel for my encore ( 7mm-08 rem ) :wink: to replace the 50cal MZ ,, what i need to know is what do i need to order to fit the rifle barrel as far as forend,, i know i need a different forend but do i also need the standoffs and screws or just a new forend,,, ive also been reading alot of accuracy issues with the encore and rifle usage,,, my MZ shoots under an inch at 100yrds im sure hopeing the rifle will do as well,,, i do plan on reloading for this as well,,,

There is only 1 size forend for rifle barrels . found this at Cabelas... http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting ... at10460628

Not sure if it comes with screws or not.
I own a T/C encore in .243 and get MOA or under with it. Good luck

I had a 7m-08 barrel for my Encore. Shot like crap for the 1st 3 shots....then the barrel would be so hot you couldn't hardly touch it. But then it would shoot lights out as in dime size groups at 100 and nickle size at 200yds.

I sent the barrel back to Thompson and they replaced it....took about 10 days. The new barrel was a consistent 1.5" shooter. They never did tell me what was wrong with the 1st barrel.
