I was straightening up the loading/gun tinkering/fly tying room yesterday. Everybody really ought to have a room like that...

Got to doing an informal inventory of my loading supplies & ammo - just to see where things stand.

Dang... Thanks to the sales at SPS, I've got enough bullets on hand to hunt the rest of my life, and maybe even longer! About the only thing I'm short on is some round-nose/flat nose bullets for the .30-30, but otherwise... Wow! Feeling good about that. And most of the boxes say "Nosler" on them. That's a comfortable feeling.

.204
.224
.243
.257
.284 (and I don't even have a 7mm kicking around here at the moment!)
.308 by the boatload, except for the .30-30 bullets - not real flush there
.375

All in all it's looking real good for me and rifle shooting for some time. Lots of high quality hunting and target bullets on hand. Thanks Nosler, for building such great bullets, and thanks SPS, for setting up a route for us to get them inexpensively.

For my handguns, I shoot mostly locally cast bullets, so SPS isn't necessary for that.

It's a good feeling being well stocked on hunting & target bullets!

Good for you Guy, I am hoping to get some stock built up with the new ABLRs and then I should be good for the rest of my shooting days
It is a little tough with the way things are north of the 49th as we keep getting told their on there way but we are not sure from where or where too
I can not get any answers on my action or stock that were supposed to be delivered within 100 days everything was ordered January 30th 2013. I know we can not blame the dealers here as they can only do things when they receive them but it sure is discouraging.
Sorry for venting :(

Blessings,
Dan

Vent away!

I'm suppressing my desire to get out and plink with my .30-30, much as I'd enjoy, because I really have about enough ammo to burn 50 rounds before hunting season for practice, and a box to have for hunting season. If I draw my "second deer tag" I really want to go stalk a mule deer doe in the high desert, with my .30-30 rifle... But don't have a lot of bullets left for it! Doggone it.

Eventually I'll need more .30 cal target bullets too - but otherwise, I may well be done buying hunting bullets. At least for my existing rifles & cartridges.

Guy

SPS is a great place. And with top notch guys like MArk working there. Kudos to Nosler.

Now, if only Homeland Security would vanish and we could make purchases here in Canada, all would be copacetic.

Absolutely, I wish we could make the politicians understand that we are not the enemy. There has to be away to make it work so that could enjoy free access to the American suppliers.
I guess with a little over 30,000,000 people we just don't have the market clout that is needed.
I think I am going to be talking with my MP to see if there is any change coming in the foreseeable future.
Oh well enough about that, I have a great country to hunt and fish in so I should be great full for that.

Blessings
Dan

Guy, I'm with you. I was very content with my stock till Nosler dropped there new ABLR. Now I have to least try em.

Yep I'm short on 30-30 bullets too! Hey anyone at Nosler reading this??? :p

I'm Still working on stocking up on bullets for the rest of the herd too

Yeah, I found a couple of boxes of 150 gr Sierra flat nose .30-30 bullets today... Not sure I'm willing to jump down to a 150 gr bullet. Picked up a box of Federal factory 170 gr .30-30's too. Just so I've got something to fall back on.

All my other rifles though - are well stocked with Nosler Hunting bullets!

Guy

I stocked up when this DHS hoarding nonsense started. I have about 14 boxes of pistol bullets (mostly Hornady). Plus for rifle, I have 35 boxes of Nosler Partitions and Accubonds on hand. This does not count the .32 Special and .45-70 bullets which I still have on hand with no gun of either caliber.

I put in another order from SPS a few days ago. I'm not sure I really want to think about the $700 I've spent with them this year.

Same here guys. With the increase in prices and increase in shipping it really makes you wish you would have bought more sooner. The cost of components or ammo is never going to go down, they don't cost anything to store, they don't eat anything after you get them, and you don't have to clean up after them so it's a good investment.

Guy

You have a great supply of Noslers. I don't recognize the three boxes sitting on top of the Bergers. They say Partitions but I don't recognize the packaging.
