Congratulations. I've handled Tikkas chambered in 338 Federal, and they are a joy to shoot. I almost bought one before I built mine.

Hers a picture of my 338 Federal - its a Tikka T3 SS Thats a leupold 2.5-8 with Talleys holding it to the receiver ! I have replaced the bolt stop with a long cartridge one and then i bought 2 long cartridge mags so i can seat the bullets out further for more powder room and velocity ! :grin:

Nice looking rifle RJ. Tikka make a good product. My .338 Federal is a Model 85 Sako, pretty close in design to the Tikka but I prefer the walnut stock. I was just out to the range with mine on Friday, shooting .210 Partitions to make sure that I was still sighted in. All is well, it is still shooting MOA groups. My Sako has a Kahles 3-9x42 but I did have a 2.5-8x32 Conquest on it for awhile.
