Of all the various pistols I've owned, sold and traded over the years, I haven't run across any that have been more reliable year after year regardless the ammo or the shape of the bullet than the 3rd Generation S&W pistols.
I bought a 4506 back around 1990-91 and it has never failed to feed, eject or fire with any style bullet from 200 gr SWC's to the notoriously hard to feed Speer Flying Ashtray. It gobbled those up like they were hardball. I honestly believe you could take frozen green beans and place them in the magazine and hand feed them and you wouldn't get a FTF issue from it. :grin: Superb pistols albeit, a tad heavy.
