What a difference the use of a simple, single letter can make.

Take for instance the letter "I".

To RUN the country is one thing, but to "RUIN" it is another.

Our leader also uses the "I" (as in ME).

That's his narcissistic personality he exhibits everything concerning the whole Country. I think I can only remember him using "we", as in the whole of the Country once maybe twice. The rest of the time, he has used "we", is when talking to his looney left interest. He's a Dictator in heart!
 
Then there's "I" as described by Ayn Rand in Anthem. Use of the word "I" carried the death sentence in that novel.

Outstanding read, all these years later.

I've been re-reading some of Rand's works recently. Just finished Atlas Shrugged. I hadn't read it since the 1970's. Just as good now as it was then. I found myself a bit disturbed by the corrupt/sick government and society she wrote of nearly 60 years ago, and what I see now... Frightening similarities.
